The Keswick to Barrow Walk is an annual 40 mile challenge through the heart of the Lake District. Over 2,000 people took part in 2010. One of those participants was Lou Powell. This is his story.

Cumbria is diverse, striking in its beauty and proud of its deep cultural heritage. This film focuses on different communities living in and outside of the national park. It celebrates the Cumbrian landscape from the summits of the highest mountains to the industrial foundation of the low lying urban areas. A social, economic and cultural exploration of Cumbria and its characters.

This project was funded and supported by Vision+Media and Creative England. It was awarded as a commission by Kendal Mountain Festival and the Brewery Arts Centre to be premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival 2012.
